PROTECT AND DETECT

Did you know that skin cancer is the most common cancer in the U.S. Every day, nearly 20 Americans die from melanoma, the most deadliest form of skin cancer.

This summer, be proactive about sun exposure. Using sunscreen, finding shade, and wearing clothing that protects against the sun can significantly help shield your skin from the harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays.

Apply a broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher to all your skin that is not covered by clothing. Remember to protect your feet! When wearing sandals, flip-flops, or going barefoot, apply a layer of sunscreen. Reapply sunscreen every two hours when outdoors, or after swimming or sweating.

If you see something new, changing, or unusual on your skin, get it checked out by the healthcare team at MI Partner Health. We offer same-day or next-day appointments. Call or schedule online, today.
